About Him
I won't go on these, as I call them, block of flats cruise ships. Being an ex Merchant Seaman I know how long it takes to evacuate just a cargo ship with 30/40 crew members, the thought of 6000 passengers and 2000 or more crew terrifies me.in an emergency.
I have been a widower for 7 years The love of my life and ivwere married for 45 years, so I am faithful to the right person.
I am over 6 feet tall but Ive been called a gentle giant. I love driving and am a advanced motorist with skid pan experience.
I have 2 new knees, so I can get about but at the moment I have to use a walking stick.
Family wise, I have a 50 year old son who lives with me. He was my carer whilst I was waiting for my last knee to be replaced.
My ex work colleagues and friends say that I have a good sense of humour. I love animals and grew up with German Shepherd Dogs except when my late wife and I were both working. I lost my last Shepherd about 2 years ago and haven't had one since because of my knee. My son has a sweet Staffy, in fact she's fast asleep on my lap as I write this profile.
Relaxing wise I read, especially military history books, I watch TV, and meet up with ex-colleagues to put the World to rights once a week.
I may look into painting classes.

My ideal match should be over 5'3" tall, a pleasant face and good body with a few extra pounds. But I'm open to suggestions.
I'm looking for friendship rather than romance, perhaps the odd cuddle as I miss the cuddles my wife freely gave me.
